Iridium Tri-iodide, IrI3

Iridium Tri-iodide, IrI3 is stated to occur 3 when potassium iodiridate and ammonium chloride solutions are mixed, iodine and the tri-iodide separating out. The former is removed by treating with alcohol, the tri-iodide being left as a greenish powder.
